Hi all!
I know it’s been awhile since I posted… but I’m back and I have some lovely clients who are very nicely allowing me to blog on their transformations.
So! Without further ado… I’d like to introduce Ingrid. A very groovy mother of two, with an amazing old house in inner Melbourne.
She and her husband renovated the kitchen / dining at the back of the house some time ago, but then moved overseas. Now back… it’s time to finish the job!
Sound of Music style we’re starting at the very beginning in the lounge at the front of the house.

Lamps are one of the most important elements in your home. And not just as light sources! Floor lamps are the perfect decorative element for an empty or dull spot and table lamps take up a large amount of visual space whether they’re on or off. So a lamp purchase is one to be considered carefully. Never just buy a lamp because one is needed. That’s how you end up with boring lamps that you can’t in a good, green conscience chuck. Consider the space it’s going to be in, and make a confident choice…you will never regret the purchase of a gorgeous statement lamp…but you’ll almost immediately regret buying a boring one.

This year we’re all having a love affair with colour, and the addition of a bright and beautiful lamp base is a great way of injecting colour into a neutral space. Some images to inspire…

Very exciting news!!! I’m heading into the land of upcycling… dragging my talented carpenter husband along with me! For those of you who haven’t come across this before…it’s the process of re-creating a piece of furniture.
You look for furniture that has integrity in its original form, and then incorporate a design element into it. From both a green and a design perspective …this is all that we are about so it’s bananas exciting!
This months Belle magazine featured a ”Lake Burbury”sideboard by Stuart WIlliams. Some other cool designs out there to give you an idea….

Our first set of designs are on their way, and I have been in a state of euphoric designing glee….
We have four stunning vintage carved dining chairs, a retro sideboard, two Queen Anne bedside tables, four cafe chairs, a nest of tables, a rocking chair, some great lamps and more..
If any of you have bought up cycled pieces before … or if this is the first you’ve heard of it…I’d love to hear your thoughts!!!!!!

Yay!!! I’ve finally sorted a supplier for custom made destination banners!
I love these! They’re absolutely perfect for pretty much anywhere, but I love mine at the bottom of the stairway. Each time I walk down it I’m reminded of all my favorite holidays and locations that mean a lot to me.
These are not the generic smaller and thin versions you see around, these are custom made to reflect your life and travels.
The bonus is, they can turn an awkward or dull niche, into the coolest part of the house!
Your house should always tell your story and these, quite literally, do exactly that.
Comes “stretched” on a timber frame ready to hang .
$800 plus delivery – which ranges from $50 for local Melbourne to $100 for the further states. Click on the link
