Red energy

I love the energy that red can bring into a room.  I tend to use it as an accent… a dominance of red can overwhelm me a bit.  Not to say that it doesn't look great… but I think it needs a lot of space, a fairly minimalist look and dramatic accessories.  None of which I am or have.  But adding splashes of red is fabulous for those like me who have lots of stuff and like to have it out.

If you love the idea of red, but are unsure as to how and how much…here are some really cool uses of it to inspire you….

Red doesn't always mean slick and contemporary… the couch above is perfect for its eclectic apartment,

Red is an ideal colour for rugs, hiding marks better than most and giving you a strong backdrop for your styling palette.
