This hot air balloon cushion from Freedom is the perfect size (50 x 50), colour ( a monchromatic statement cushion is a must to chill out a big colour scheme), and design (what doesn’t go with hot air balloons??) and is really well priced at $34.95.

I know this whole number/letter thing has taken over homewares, but they do provide a great break from patterns and the trick is, now that the market is flooded with them, to find groovy takes on them… like this suede mustard “9″ from Orson and Blake.

And finally…our fifth cool little cushion is a bit more on the exxy side.  This 100% silk unicycle design from Fern Living is $145.  It may cost that bit more…but this isn’t going out of style anytime.  Your daughters will be putting up their hands for this on will reading day.
